took the trouble to have a look, am not automatically logged in as you suggest.
have to fill out all the pages again.
cant be "ersed"
however, yet again, it looks like a massive amount of time, and money, has been spent solely for the benefit (or otherwise) of anglers whom possess an ea licence!
is a hell of a lot more rod days outwith England than within it!

OK - thanks for letting me know - I have checked on this and my original statement could have been worded better - sorry! What I should have said is that your Fly Forums login will work on this site also but you will still need to log in. You should not though have to sign-up again. I'll amend the original statement above for the benefit of others finding this thread.

"however, yet again, it looks like a massive amount of time, and money, has been spent solely for the benefit (or otherwise) of anglers whom possess an ea licence!"

Re your quote above Bert - FishActive is being developed in cooperation with the EA as it is providing a valuable way for them to disseminate information to the angling public in light of the specific marketing budget restrictions placed upon them over the last year or two so yes it has started as very England-centric by design.

We have started very early conversations with Wales, Scotland and Ireland and seek similar partnerships for those areas (please step forward anyone with the appropriate remit in those regions) so as to provide the same service but it all takes time not to mention staff and cash and as with all our other sites, we continue to offer access free of charge.
