Default Robbery @Chatton Fishery Northunberland

Chatton Robbery

Hi fella's, some bad news re Chatton fishery, headed that way this morning with Midgetip for a wee bit of fishing just to arrive to find the lodge had been broken into last night and all the gear stolen.

Rods stolen were, all the Grey's series, Sharpes of Aberdeen and some very expensive Loomis rods, a variety of reels were also stolen along with thousands of fly's.

Grey's extreme cold weather coats and trousers were taken along with some clothing bearing the Chatton logo.

A large selection of fly lines went the same way along with loads of other stuff.

So guys, it is ears and eyes open for anyone trying to sell tackle at a reduced price and Rodger told me to add that a reward is being offered in relation to this robbery.

Please pass this info on to as many people as possible and with a bit of luck something may turn up.

Seddo,

Good for you to pass the information on and a great shame at the same time. Have been in touch with a number of contacts with the details.

Unless force was used in order to steal the goods against an individual or an individual was put in fear of being then and there subjected to force, the correct term for it is ' Burglary'.

Word has been made known to loads of people who can pass on the information re Chatton's misfortune.

It is a very respected fishery and I only hope the low life who carried out this act can be caught and banged up good and proper.

Ref, Robbery v Burglary I do understand the difference
It is the same as Northunberland in my post, it should read Northumberland

Still, the content is more important than a wee bit of misplaced English Language.

Tell them to watch ebay...some of the stuff will appear eventually.

I watched for 2 years before a mis appropriated SLT belonging to me appeared with it's accompanying reel. It was a buy it now bargain, so I bought it, and picking it up with a policeman with me was interesting but well woth while.

It was Falkirk CID who found the stuff Jim...

QUOTED from the linked article to Alan Maughan's Forum:

Police looking for tackle owner

A huge stash of stolen tackle items has been uncovered by police in the Falkirk area of Scotland.

The haul, which includes large amounts of sea, game and predator tackle was discovered in an individual’s home just a few days ago with police now looking for the tackle shop from where the items were taken.
At first Falkirk CID that made the discovery thought the tackle had been taken from local fly fishing store, which has suffered two break-ins in the last 14months. However, the items did not come from the Fisherman Tackle Company, nor any other tackle shops in the local area.
“We’ve contacted everyone we know around the area and the gear doesn’t belong to any of them,” said Paul Devlin, managing director of Glasgow Angling Centre. “We think it may have come from down south. The barcodes on the items will be recognisable to the tackle shop that they were taken from and hopefully whoever had the stuff taken will eventually get it back.
“We’ve had break-ins at our shop before and it’s horrible, so I just hope the rightful owner gets this lot back as soon as possible.”
The seven digital number which accompanies the barcode on one of the recovered products is ST59156. Anyone who thinks that they are the owners of the items should contact the Falkirk CID through the Central Scotland Police on 01324 634212
