For those of you interested in discussing and sharing views and news about policies, programs and incidents that effect our fishing locally and nationally, we have launched a brand new website called www.FishActive.com just for you.

This has been developed with support from the Environment Agency in the South East (and Sussex in particular) currently and we expect this to be supported at the national level shortly so you will see the forums expanding to cover more counties as they come on board.

We show some news stories on the homepage that you might not see on our other sites such as the Fly Fishing Forums, and the forum pages are now open for anyone to post and share items of local and national interest. Your same login will work so please come across and join us and help get some discussions going on this new resource.

Representatives of the EA and other local and national bodies are all being invitited to join in and to post requests for feedback, news of upcoming projects or consultation periods and they are wanting to engage with the angling public to hear your views.

As readers and posters of the "Ear to the Ground" forum we hope you will bookmark the site and come and join us regularly and help make this site the de facto online discussion area for any and all topics regarding our use of both fresh and saltwater environments with regard to angling.

Thanks for the heads-up Bert.

Our development began in the South East of England with this initiative solely as it is where we are based and that the local EA team strongly supported it and helped to get it established.

From this base we are now spreading out and talking to regions across the country and thanks to your note we will certainly get in touch with Diogg to explore the possibilities for Scotland.
