Sewage leak kills hundreds of fish at Swalecliffe Brook


Hundreds of fish have died in a Kent river following a sewage leak.

The Environment Agency said it was investigating a "serious incident" at Swalecliffe Brook near Canterbury.

Officials said they had identified the source of the pollution but would not be releasing more details at this stage.

About 300 sticklebacks died in the worst affected stretch, as well as a number of eels, which are listed as an endangered species.

The agency said it was working alongside Canterbury City Council to collect evidence and clean the river.

its just the same as the prisons they will get a little fine. in the prisons they get a fine every year for not taking the razor wire down cause its not aloud in the EU. and find for not having tv.s in every cell, it cheaper to pay the fine than to do whats right.one rule for one and tens rules for us lttle people.
