I was there on Sunday, me and a mate got cheap tickets through Goupon. I had 7 fish five rainbows and two browns and my mate had one. The fish were in excellent condition, fully tailed. If it's any help 6 of my seven fish were on the dry fly.

I think it will take a few years before this place looks a bit more natural. Facilities are excellent and the place is also very green using solar panels and a water wheel to create the energy it needs.

My wifie bought me and a mate groupon vouchers for this place and after reading Magoos post first was looking forward to it.

Since then been reading its up for sale and is pretty guff.

Didn't have the heart to tell her that the money she paid wasn't brilliant for 8 hours (typical woman saw the was £ 40 odd quid down to £ 18 and though it was a mass saving ), combined with the Manor bit it sent her on a purchasing frenzy.

Going this weekend, does anyone have any positive news about the place????

My mate was there last week using Groupon vouchers. He wasn't overly impressed by the place but got 4 and dropped a few more so definately fish in it.

I called in on my way back from EDINBURGH and nearly had the **** torn out the bottom of it what is it with fisheries and roads,or lack of one Had a look round and wasnt overly impressed with the surroundings. The prices were too high and im glad i just looked in. Had it on my radar for a go but wont be. Cant comment on the fish tho but by all accounts quality. Cater for the working mans pocket and keep the turnstile turning id say . TINTO fishery is right up that street.

Was better than expected but won't be going back - not for me, we were ready to leave when we were told the rules to start with, the main pool we were told was so full of fish it was pay for what you catch and no C&R - £ 1/per lb. The 100 meter length that was like a running track you could jump accross had 1 person every 5 steps on it. The only option was the funny O shaped C&R pond. To be fair we were glum to start with as we were faced with 8 hours but had enough fish to mess about with so it was not so bad.

£ 20 quid though - ****** doing that again!!!

verdict = missadventure .
