Default Fishing in Italy

Hi Folks,

2 years ago I stayed in a place called Biella in northern Italy with work for 3 days.

I came accross an outstanding looking river just outside the town itself. looked absolutley perfect.

Does anyone have any info on the fishing in that area? has anyne else been to Biella before?

Thanks
Martin

No

I go to Cannobio every year - a little further north - there (as far as I understand) I need a provincial license - which also allows me to fish in the lakes, and then a river specific license which covers a specific area of mountain rivers - if you ask in the local tourist office they tend to be helpless but will direct you to the nearest license seller. I think the provincial license (3 months) set me back 8 euros and the river license 20. All fairly harmless.
