Default Where in Ireland for Salmon

Im looking for around 3 days salmon fishing in may of next year.

Ive never fished in Ireland but have heard some good reviews and that its good value for money.

I dont mind where in Ireland you may sugest as im open to any advice.

Hi,try get fishing the ballisodare falls... about €100 a day,but well worth it in my opinion.. its in sligo...!! there is another thread in the salmon fishing section..!! i have a link on it if you want to have a look

Galway Weir, Galway City-more salmon than you could shake a stick at .

Another vote for Ballisodare, i fish it regularly and i have to say in June and July you are guaranteed to catch fish, they are there in their thousands but i do have to say it gets very busy

If fly fishing is your thing the East Mayo waters of the Moy take some beating , base yourself in Foxford and you could be in Balisadaire in an hour with the weir in Galway an hour and a twenty minutes and Carrowmore over the road .
The Swinford waters are great value and your sure to meet fresh fish if they have water.

Another vote for the East mayo waters on the Moy.
If you like fishing shoulder to shoulder and having to push and shove for a good spot, then it's the Ballisodare falls for you (just my opinion )

Delphi, Ballynahinch, Inagh ... Bit more expensive though I believe.
