Seems like was a bad week, I heard from a group of English fly fishers staying at the lodge. Will definately be fishing Inagh again ... Our eyes however fell on a cottage, we'd probably rent, on the shore of Lough Muck. Very little info on Muck and Fee on the net, but seems to hold Brownies, Sea trout and Salmon. Would be like fishing out of the garden really. Has anyone fished it? Any onfo would be most welcomed. Inagh and Muck aren't as daunting as Corrib or Mask. And are in terms of size, what we are used to. Or can anyone suggest any other lough fishing in that area. Boat is a must though. No stocked rainbow lakes please ... have that all year round. Brownies are the target (all to be released) but a seatrout or salmon ... who would say no to that have never caught a salmon yet. I thank you all in advance.

Hi J.J,
It is a pity you couldn’t put your trip off until late in April.. Last year the mayfly were early and I believe we had our best fishing on Corrib in late April with lots of trout between 3 and 4lb.
This is very early for Inagh. I fish Inagh fairly regularly. They had a great year this year for Salmon. Brown trout and sea trout catches were not great.
I have fished Muck and Fee, but I am afraid I have fairly limited information on them. I know that they do have a run of salmon, but probably a little later than early April.
Jackie Coyne would be the best man to contact regarding Muck and Fee. His telephone no is +353 (0)87 2668194. He works as a guide, so I’m sure he will be ok with me publishing his number.
Best of luck, and give me a bell if you are interested in a day on Corrib. I might have a place in the boat for a day…
Cheers
JJ
