Default Tomlin, Slovenia

Hi,

I am looking to go to Slovenia next year around May. Hoping to fish the Soca and the Idrijca. I was wodering if anyone could suggest some accomodation in the Tomlin area that would cater for a party of four fishermen. My thanks in advance.

On my first trip to Slovenia I stayed at the Vila Noblesa which is a set of apartments purpose built for fishermen. The owner is himself a noted marble trout fisherman with large stuffed examples in his dining room. He is also a noted fly tier.
The fish however in the soca are largely stocked, why not seek out wilder option?

Cheers
Steve

his members name is Dangill so you may be able to find him and have a word sure he will email you over the Pdf
if not come back to me with your email address by PM and i will send it over.
Some people say its played out in areas with over stocking but a sure there are parts where its still wild. Planning a trip to Croatia + Bulgaria again next year

Thanks benisa,
I have gone many times to Slovenia and I also have a great friend out there BlueOne, who as well as being a great fisherman, he is one of those few leading the fight for a more natural Slovenia rather than just filling the rivers with stocked fish for tourists.

Cheers,
Steve

I have been travelling to Slovenia for a number of years now and really enjoy it. We usually fish the Sava for two days and have one day on the Soca. This year however the Soca was like combat fishing. We thought the Idrijca would be a little quieter.

I am open to suggestions though, would be interested in details of Croatia and Bulgaria. The three guys I fish with are fairly flexible, we tend to fly in on a Thursday and fish Fri-Sun fly back on the Mon.

Look forward to some suggestions.

Hi
Fishing in Bulgaria is in the South down by Bansko
most of the Rivers have some Trout but mostly Chub which you can get on the Fly.
There is trout in the Pirin Mountains in the Nat park but lone walk up to the lakes 2000 mts + ( you can drive a car up most the way) then there are Gin clear lakes with wild trout, but fishing can only be done Sat + Sunday, Lic needed. Croatia is much more inland river fishing.
Northern Portugal is a Great place near Spanish Border.

Hi Simmo

I hope we're not too late to make a suggestion to you and your party of four fishermen. We have a place on the Idrijca River Slovenia for fishermen. We've recently renovated an old farm and buildings looking out over the river it's a spectacular location and we could offer you everything you need to fish in the idrijca where there is still wild fishing to be had. If you are interested or would like more information please contact us. We are Tilnik farmhouse;
email; tilnikfarm@hotmail.com
It would be great to have contact from you. Alternatively check out our website: tilnikfarm.tk
