Default Alternatives to Cuba

Hi everyone,

Any reccomendation or alternatives to bone fishing / break for the Mrs & without kids. I was looking for Cayo Coco but it seems to be fully booked so no availabilities. Have looked in Eluthera (Rainbow inn) but cannot stomach a 36 hour flight just having done a tour of the far east & Australia for work. Any thoughts?

Rgds

This is where I stayed - www.tflats.com

I went there with my dad and we both caught 2 Permit each during the week, and I also jumped a decent Tarpon (80lb or so)

There are the 14 day breaks but I was looking for the 7 day break as I do not have much holiday time left hence. Also while talking to the holiday rep I understand that Thomas Cook is planning on scaling down its long haul business so at some point they plan to pull out of Cayo Coco altogether. Not good new I am afraid.

the problem is flights with anyone else....you have to go via Havana with an overnight stop there so you lose two days plus it bumps the cost up. TC airlines seem to be the only ones who fly direct to Cayo Coco. I believe the weekly flights (and therefore 7 day options) are only during peak demand. There's alot of Hotels there that would really suffer if TC pull out that's for sure!
