Just a quick poll. With the quakes out here has anyone altered their plans for a fishing trip tot he south island in the coming season? Still coming, not coming, changed to a different destination?

Hi Darkuser80, I had a mate comming over from Australia last year who was going to change his plans and not fish in the Christchurch area, I told him not to worry about the quakes, just go and fish. He did and I believe he had a ball!

Hi Darkuser80, the Ausies who fish with me still come and they still rate it. I'm in Christchurch, snowed all day so better skiing than fishing, although Coleridge is fishing well. Regards Den

The regions the surround Christchurch (and those further afield) were/are unaffected by the earthquake, so Akaroa, Hanmer Springs, Kaikoura, Fiordland, West Coast & Nelson/Marlborough and the southern towns of Wanaka and Queenstown are all unaffected by the earth quakes......

The very best thing tourists can do, is to come and visit !
