I used to fish a syndicate stretch there for a number of years and there are stocked and wild brownies of a size that reflect the small size of the river. There also used to be a good head of grayling, mainly on the small side but also a number of pike as well. The usual small river strategies should suffice and a short light rod and tackle is all that's needed. It's full of runs and lots of bends, so stalking can often be the order of the day. It's a shame you're too late for the mayfly hatch as when I fished it they could be overwhelming in their numbers.

I fish a syndicate stretch of the Dove just upstream of there. There are Grayling with some decent fish but they arent always easy to find. I have fished it a few times this year lots of trout , wildies and some stocked fish to. I use a 7ft 6 or 8ft four weight... The fish rise well and the usual culprits work. klinks and traditional dry patterns. have some nymphs for the pools and chest waders are pretty much a must have... PM if you want to know anything else and tight lines....Some pics on my blog...
