I'm going over to Dubrovnik for ten days tomorrow...(annual hols)...Does anyone know if there's any fly fishing close to Dubrovnik..??..(within 1hr drive) Just wondering if it was worth me trying to smuggle my gear in the suitcase......

In half hour drive you can find some reservoirs and one huge but calm river near town Trebinje.It is very hot this days and you can check some fish activity in dusk
If you have time you can come to my town,Nikšić, and we will find some fish interested in flies
Dubrovnik-Nikšić is about one hour and half of driving but you must stay one night here because it will be physically hard to drive and fish in one day..I repeat it is very very hot this days
