Default Bahamas - Nassau

All All jokes aside boys, looks like I may get to spend a weekend in the Bahamas!

So, is there much chance of self-guiding around Nassau or any cheap charter fishing avail that anyone can advise of?

Thanking you in advance.

Ben

There is some limited bonefishing on New Providence/Nassau but not sure where on the island . I have heard of one guide Aaron Bain. He may be able to guide you on foot for half day and you could then use this info to fish on your own.
I normally use google earth to scope out favourable areas for DIY on other islands, look for brownish areas with mangroves, bonefish will not normally be too far away.
A good cheap place to stay away from the bustle of downtown nassau is the Orange Hill Inn on cable beach.

Well, I dont where I will get to stay as I dont have much choice where the Company sticks me but it will be near the project which I think is near Nassau.

Thank you kindly for that info - much appreciated.

PM sent re your reel too You had best get it packaged up

Chris (saltwater fly shack) has sorted me out some flies, I have a #9 and #10 rod and just need a reel now

A quick google search turned up 2 operations. One called 'secret soul' and the other called Simon Bain. Neither are cheap.

Simon used to guide in Andros (Ive fished with him) and he is top quality. The other, I have no info.

Hope this helps.

Hi Squimp

I have done some extensive searches and the cheapeast I have found is $600 for a morning's fishing which is Florida Prices!!

I am really hoping to get there, find a few private boaters, and offer them a tankful of fuel for a spot on their boat

I grew up fishing on boats and am fairly handy around a boat
