It was a very tight result yesterday but with a 6 fish limit and lots of stockies around limit bags were plentyfull 42 anglers 204 fish caught av wieght 1lb 14oz

Brenig fished very well with lots of fish caught on dries in a very big wave at times.

Adail ty Nant were the other Qualifiers for the welsh final as Flextec Emerald Islanders were the visiting Irish team.

Well done to Russ, Gus, Gazza, Aled, Reg, & Strawman of the Welsh Hawks. Worthy winners once again.

And a big well done to the Prince Albert boys who were pipped into 2nd place by only a few onzs. Top Angling guys.

Also well done to George & his Llanilar tynant team and the Adail Ty nant boys who also got thru to the Welsh final. Good luck to you all for Llandegfedd. Hope to see you at Rutters in October.

Us Irish lads, had some truly great fishing on Brenig this year. Three days of great fishing and great craic, and once again we were made extremely welcome by our Welsh friends . Looking forward to next year already.

Finally Id just like to say a big thanks to my boat partner Andy Taylor of Prince Albert. A true gentleman and a pleasure to fish with. Our heads were pickled after the first couple of hours with only 1 fish between us when the wave got rough, but we worked together and both got our bag limit and got in early A great three days was had.

Well done to the Welsh Hawks and everyone who qualified.
I could not catch on dries at the far end of the lake, so had to revert to boobies! Thanks to my boatpartner, John Cowan of Adail Tynant, who put me onto the right fly.

Great to be back at Brenig and much improved fishing.

See you at llandeg,
Neil.
