Cheers Brian,

All in all it was a good night - went flat calm early on, which is unusual for Tildarg I'm told. From then on it was s**t hard. (Sam thinks that the fish had got hit real hard all week by boyz up practising)

I'm sorry but didn'y know that you'd wanted to fish. Yes, we had been fully booked - there had been a rush of locals putting their names down after the 1st. heat went well - so we wanted to encourage them as best we could - that meant us having to bring in 2 outside boats to accomodate them. Then, three of them let us down on the night - young Harry stepped in at the last minute (I think he was having Maui Jim withdrawal).

So on the night we had 21 anglers, 13 of which were Lexus virgins.

I know I learn't a lot helping run the event, and next year we'll be less flexible with some things.

All the best if you're at Darren's heat - I'll try and get a wee run down and encourage you with a song from the sidelines

Alright Geordie

The friggin guy in shop told me it was a 2 oz - what can I say, I should have checked myself

Unbelieveable result though with the weight thing - and it wasn't like the fish were all the same sort of size. I has a lovely fully finned silver boy at 2lb 3 and then the ugliest stockie I've ever seen that was no size.

One of the highlights of the night was when my boat partner Graeme caught a 1LB brownie on a buzzer - that's the first Tildarg one I've seen in the flesh and it was beautiful I heard that there had been one of near 4lb caught early on in the week. Anyway, sadly for Graeme, the brownie didn't count as it was a bows only comp and the fish was safely returned.

Well done to 'Maui Jim' boy - I hear he's thinking of opening own sunglasses shop!

Thats what it was someone said one of Ray,s fish looked liked Quasimoto....the 2oz weight gave it a bad hump
Aye some lovely browns up there and Graeme should have been awarded 3 fish for it
Must get a look at these Mau Jim sunglasses before young h starts his car boot sales
