PitsfordPirate will become famous soon enough
Default Anglian Water Airflo International Individual Final

Bright sunshine, little breeze and absolutely roasting on Grafham today, yet it fished its tits off, rod average of 7.76, absolutely amazing.

A huge congratulation to the winner Gary Owen (Uhulu on here), cracking bag and time bonus, 24lb 7/8oz bag, finished at 11.30am so 6lb time bonus on top of that, unbeatable performance.

Well done to all those who were thereabouts also.

Didn't get finished until 3.15pm myself (although the results wrongly state I had no time bonus), however was well off the pace anyway with a 20lb bag.

Great day out anyway with my boat partner Michael Low, top man and I have another bung convert under my cap

Roast beef dinner and free pint in lodge afterwards was most welcome.

Pip pip!

The Pirate.

Great event and great fishing Grafham is in top form at the moment. Only four anglers unlucky not to get their eight fish. It was a shame the fishing was so short, many of the anglers spent the afternoon on the bank drinking beer and sunbathing.

Tremendous 2 days fishing - unbelievable in the conditions - and quality, fit fish. I managed to secure 16th spot, with prizes to 15th, heh heh - one ounce behind. However result not that important, when you have the quality of fishing to compensate.
Nice one.

Thanks lads, I too could'nt believe how well it fished!. It was a long wait on tenterhooks back at the lodge watching people weigh in quality fish, one after another, but it was good fun watching dicko, shawie and co getting slowly rat-ar**d culminating in the obligatory beer fight!!. I think a good day was had by all even though there may be a few sore and sun burnt heads today!. I know some of them are fishing the vision pairs today also, so good luck to them. By the way if anyone wants a free england shirt with Phil Dixon's name on it, its stuffed behind the drain pipe about 50 ft up on the front of the lodge!!!.

Crackin weather, crackin fish and a crackin comp, fished in a great spirit - knowing I had a good bag my boat partner Mike Egan was cheering for me when we saw a boat in front of us land a biggie but it turned out to be a bream! Cheers mate, hope Traws went well for you.

Well done all, and well done Anglian Water and Airflo for organising and backing the event.

Gutted that I haven't qualified for next year, but made up with the quality of the fishing - that's the first time I've fished Grafham for more than just a couple of hours, even had a personal best bream on the first cast - hooked it up the a*se!!

Just left thinking of what could have been if I hadn't snapped off on a proper biggie - apologies to those nearby whose concentration was shattered by my anguished scream.

Cheers
Brian
