Well done to the winning teams, it's just a pity some of the guys from my own club couldn't bring themselves to fish the deadly 'bung'.

Perhaps it's about time for the sight bob to be reconsidered for next year in order to encourage the many talented anglers to demonstrate more challenging ways of catching the Insch trout because I can't believe it's very testing, or satisfying, for them just waiting for a buoyant indicator to be pulled under?

A big well done to the lads today great result even if it was under a boring bung!.Well done especially to jock the kettle who not only was the top bag today with 28 fish but he also won the loch fad pairs last week with his old time mate alec mcewan. Also brill fishing by wullie and andy for 2nd & 3rd places............. Still dont believe yer only 45 jock.
Well done also to the other teams who took part in a good spirited comp.
btw jock had never fished that bloodworm before or even seen it.

Many thanks to sharpes of Aberdeen for the prizes and to the owners and staff of Loch Insch for a fantastic day out .
The fishery has new owners taking the helm very soon and on behalf of all the anglers who have fished this comp would like to say a big thanx to the departing owners for all your help , friendliness , and just for being nice folk !
