Top angling lads well done to you all, very special achievement by Brad Gifford. Richard Slater and Paul Shaw fished superbly too.

It was a day of making the right choices and sticking with it... Rutland seemed to switch-on up the arms... the basin seemed dead early on where Jerremy Lucas and I spent 4 hours!! That was my decision Some brilliant displays by some excellent anglers who will do the teams proud next year!! Me? ha ha..... as Rob suggested(?) a hasbeen ha ha!!

Jerry had 4 fish that if the day went well for him, it could have been 8!! Me?.. 2 fish that could have been no more than 5 had things gone well too... not being helped by a huge trout smashing me up besides the weed beds on Browns Island... my top dropper was caught in the top ring as I tried desperately to 'bully' the big ******!! then I proceded to wrap my flyline around the prop!! Again, a very well done to all who made it!

Well done Paul and all who qualified. Paul demonstrated to me earlier in the season how to take 8 fish from rutland in a comp in less than a hour, before coaching me to my limit shortly afterwards. A top angler and all round bloke
