hookup is on a distinguished road
Default AiRFLO HEAT CHATTON 15th aug RESULTS and QUALIFIERS

TEAM

normally i would just post the results but thought this would be an interesting read

this was the tighest and closest match i have seen in a very long time the M/L hit 1st with a fish 1st cast from findus then it was nip and tuc till the lunch break with N/C taking a 6-4 lead fishing became very dificult with very bright conditions and the wind dropping for 2 hours after the break, with 15 mins left before the end of the match this sore some very panacking team members saying could i not blow the whistle now ;D ;D it was 9-9 and sandy fishing for N/C saw his late challenge become more frustrating with every cast as he led 2 fish in 4 cast over the net only to see the hook pull out ,at the same time gareth fishing for M/L switched tactics to 2 buzzers on a midge tip and within 2 casts he had been snapped twice (bad angling ) ;D ;D i was standing next to timberw when his line straightened 4 times only to see his flies disappear into the wilderness : then the frustration started to show gareth then after some cursing tying a cast up with only 5 mins left he hooked into a fish watching with a careful eye was timberw saying he,s just hooked into a fish then bang he didnt get the words out of his mouth and he was into a fish too both were landed safely which put the scores at 10-10 then with only seconds to go saw findus,s line lock solid for a split second then it was gone ! off to fight another day with a sigh of relief from a number of anglers as the final whistle blew. This meant it was down to the weigh in it was said that the N/C only had 2 fish to put on the scales as sandy had returned his 1st fish it came to light that it was a brownie and was awarded 2lb for his fish .
up to the scales both teams came and weigh in this was checked twice as the score cards read M/Liners 10 fish for 5.92 and N/Crunchers 10 fish for 5.92 it was then down to the heaviest individual fish M/Liners best fish was 2.84 the N/Crunchers were 0.8 short which meant M.Liners were the victors well done to both teams who had a good laugh about it afterwards
