Default Airflo AW Southern Final Grafham 20-07-09

Qualified:
1st Team Tightlines: 48 fish, 132 lb
2nd Team Woodford Greys Ireland: 48 fish, 122 lb
3rd Kent and Sussex Flyfishers: 41 fish, 112lb
-------------------------------------------------
4th Tunbridge Wells FF Soc. 41 fish, 97 lb
5th Blagdon FF 37 fish
6th FDG London 37 fish
7th Team Grand Max 33 fish
8th Team Snowbee 35 fish

Rod average 6.67

Top Rod: Stewart Watkins (Tight Lines)

Well done to Woodford, a long way to come and a good return for their impressive committment.

Savages end fished reasonably but most (the majority) of fish came from the Willows and Gaynes areas but fish caught EVEYWHERE in practice. Grafham is now officially "fishing it's t1ts off".

Rolly polly blobs with DB's in between and a lot of fish came on the hang. Fish were "up" in the water on a day of a little sun and a fair degree of cloud cover.

Well done to the Welsh and Irish lads on their success. We look forward to doing battle with you again in the Final.

Also, Well done, but commiserations, to Tunbridge Wells Fly Fishing Society who narrowly missed out. A fine effort in their first year in the team competitions.

Well done bigman. See you, Vince, Keith and the boys at Rutland in October.

And some mustard ice cream to wash it down.

Staying in a brothel in Peterborough mate. But it's not horns they blow there. They say they have plenty of room, especially for Mankini wearing Geordies.

Only joking. We are staying in self catering cottages in Manton, with a pub about 400 yards away. But no doubt we will be calling to Tescos en route for the usual 300 tins of beer.

OO
