Wesleybrown999 12th and biggest fish was 3lb.

What a fantastic day, I would like to thank Andy Scott (Scotty) from the Iain Barr flyfishing team, a true gentleman and top angler and wish him and all the competitors all the best for tomorrows team match.
Congratulations to all todays qualifiers especially Pitsford Pirate. Of course Jamesbritten has already qualified so had to fish on his own today, well done James

Andy

Thumbs up

I had a really good day and enjoyed been in a boat with Alex McEwan - top bloke and s*** hot angler, I did have him slightly worried when I went 2 - 0 up on him but he soon came back and did me 8 - 2 by 12:58 before I managed to get finished and 14:05. Unfortunatly neither of us finished early enough or got into big fish.

Well done to all who qualified

Didn't know you was there Paul. I would have introduced myself.

I was on boat number 4 all one my lonesome been as some numpty didn't turn up.

As I qualified at Grafham John asked if I didn't mind, in fact it was quite nice day and I decided to take the opportunity to have a wonder round the south to see if anything was happening down there yet, as I knew where the fish were in the north arm thanks to Andy.

All I can say was motoring all the way down to Manton was a waste of time, saw the odd fish caught but nothing worth staying for so about 1300 I came back north and managed to get my bag at 1730 with just enough time to motor back to the lodge.
