Smile masterline masters

The "masterline masters" at the Glen of Rothes trout fishery was won by Phil Bieske,Alex Christie and Shamus Christie with a total of 32lbs 6ozs for 7 fish.2nd was Robbie McLennan,John Robertson and Mike Cowan with31lbs 4ozs for 11 fish and a capped weight,3rd was K Anderson,Robert McKay and John hessey with 29lbs 15oz capped weight of 10 fish.
It was a well attended event with 57 anglers and heaviest fish was 13lbs 8ozs for the day. What was good to see was many young anglers taking part and experiencing a big competition and it bodes well for young anglers coming into the sport for the future. All enjoyed the day and many had travelled a good distance to fish this annual event which is now in its 3rd year.A big Thankyou goes to the sponsors and most of all to the anglers for their valued support of the event.Over £1300 in prizes and trophies was given out on the day and also prizes to juniors.
