Walthamstow's No4 and No5 reservoirs produced over 90 fish for the 28 competitors in the SE heat of the Airflo Classic, held on Sunday 20th April. Ideal overcast conditions with a Moderate Easterly wind saw good hatches of large buzzers, with the occasional rise seen in the early afternoon as fish moved higher in the water. Some trout were caught on nymphs on floater or intermediate, but the majority came to Boobies on the DI7 or DI5.
