Default Ty-Nant

A big well done to Jim Crawford on winning this comp for the 3rd time with 22 fish , beating Spencer Williams (19 fish) into second place. Changegoose was third with 17.
Thanks to George , Tony and the rest of the Welsh lads,( especially Fishing junkie for putting up with me for the day) for a good weekend.
Sam

Many thanks to George and the rest of the boys at Llanilar for a great competition. My first experience of the the Ty Nant and I even managed to grab myself a few prizes (I'm busy trying to fill my Greys Boat Bag as I type!).

Thanks to Sammy for a great day on Sunday. It started off really well on the dries, just a shame it dried up after 1pm.

Many thanks to Basil Shields for sharing a boat with me on Friday - the fishing was fantastic and we caught fish on dries on every drift at all areas of the lake.

Well done JC and Spencer - some awesome bags there . we honestly thought Spencer was taking the P*** when he came past at 12.30 and said he'd had 17!! we thought we were doing well on 6 each

Gareth Evans.

Sorry about the abrupt departure. Dinner was on the table.

Yes, thanks to all who made the trip to Brenig at the weekend for the 14th Ty Nant Classic. General opinion seems to be it was the best one yet. Congratulations to Jim Crawford on winning it for the 3rd time. Each year we seem to get a bigger demand from Ireland and Scotland for places.....so thanks to all those that took the ferry or hit the M6 south. Brenig and the staff done us proud.........I reckon Comp fishing can only survive in the future with corporate sponsorship, as we can no longer rely on Sport Council money to support angling.......we at Llanilar AA are eternally grateful to Ty Nant Spring Water for their continued support of the Classic and the club and for giving us the facility to raise funds for the Welsh teams. Thanks also to our guests for the weekend, Moc Morgan and Mark Bowler (FF&FT) .....quality coverage of the event is very important to us all. 7 lady anglers brought some beauty to the match and proved they are a match for the best of us with a rod in their hand. sic.
Hope to see you all next year........get the names in early in 2012 and push Brenig for another dozen boats !!!!!
Many thanks
George Barron
