Default Draycote open pairs competition

Sunday 10th July saw Draycote Reservoirs first competition since opening. This sell out competition attracted some of the competition scenes well known names, like Hywel Morgan, Iain Barr, Robert Edmunds, John Buchanan and many others. Conditions were far from perfect with long sunny spells, and very little wind. This however was soon undone by Martin Introna and Frank Sumnal who were the first to weigh in with 12 fish for 42lb 4oz, who fished nymphs off the Hensbrough bank, followed by Graham Pearson and Robert Endmunds.

A lot of cracking fish in Draycote......in fact it is the place to be this year...

Just got back from Grafham and my fish were tiny in comparison (2 lb average)....I could think about was last week and how good the fishing and the quality of the fish was...

One things for sure; I bet the next match some bigger fish will be caught as they may have switched on the fry by then......

Bring it on !!
