Thankfully the weather stayed clear for the event and those who attended enjoyed a good days fishing.Even the youngsters who took part and did very well.
It was mainly floating lines and small imatative patterns which did well and Young 11 yr old Craig Alexander was first to finish and weigh in,he went back out to his regret landing a fish of 8lbs which he returned and would have won the heaviest fish.



The reults were

R 1st Tony Mone who also won heaviest fish at 4lbs 11ozs
M 2nd Craig Alexander(11 yrs old)
L 3rd Eddie Kane


It is a great charity and one which we have supported and will continue to support and a big thankyou to everyone who took time in sponsoring and the total collected on the day was £319 with a further £135 sent by cheque. Making a total for the event of £454, which in todays economy where people have been hit hard and yet still prepared to support is very appreciated and welcomed.

Great cause Kevin, well done mate...I'll be up on holiday in August... So will definitely have a day with you..was up a couple of weeks ago with work...but you were off..just as well really, cause Davy cooked me some nice bacon rolls... All the best to all.
