Conditions again for this heat weren,t the best with a mod/strong northerly wind which meant everyone would have 2 pegs in the morning and 2 in the afternoon into the wind unless it dropped which it didnt
Off went the whistle at 9.00 and straight away 1st cast gareth84 was into a fish and landed it safely his next few casts lead to loads of plucks but nothing solid and unfortunately that was the way his day went, further round the lake was former champion peter appleby who was steadily picking away and putting fish into the net as was the same for last years day 2 winner rob frame,on the last peg before the break saw jim tuck hooking into 5 fish and dropping everyone

so see you in the next one jim

come dinnertime there were a couple of 4s and 5s lots of 2s and 3s so everything was still to play for
after diner the going got slightly tougher and the fish were seemingly feeding in the top 6" on dries ie shipmans and hares ear sugar cubes
it was very noticable that ben race was having no luck on this ocation with hooking and dropping 9 fish on 1 peg then realising that azfter checking his hook that the bend had somehow snapped

see you at stocks ben

going into the last session it was very tight between 5 anglers however 1 angler fishing opposite me in no mans land hooked and landed a fish then realised that he had been fishing the wrong peg for 30 mins

after a mild breifing he moved on to the right peg and 1 st cast hooked and landed another fish which this one would be marked on his scorecard this could have been costly as at the finish when all scores were totted up the results were as follows
1st Rob Frame 12 fish
2nd Peter (the wrong peg )Appleby 11 fish
3rd Chris Macelliff 9 fish
fish caught 76
Rod Ave 5
