Default Scottish International Bank heat @Glen of Rothes

Bright Sunshine and a strong breeze, didnt bode well to start off with But as anglers got onto the water things looked up as fish began to be caught.First fish caught at 9.31am by Barry Purcell. Most went onto Intermediate lines and lures and some stuck with small buzzers on floating lines. Both methods seemed to produce the goods.
Feelings that the fish would turn off with the bright sun, niggled away in the head, but it wasnt to be as fish were consistant throughout.Plenty of Blues and fish into double figures were taken which made it all the more interesting as the rules were all catch and release.many were hooked and lost, making it all the more competitive and with everyone catching, nbody knew who was in the running.
Having stocked the loch on wednesday so as they had time to disperse and there was no hot pegs, plus it had been fished previous to this also, added to skill of those who fished as they would have to think about what they used and fished and not chuck a luck.92 fish were caught and the results at the end were very close.

Those who qualify for the final fish off at lochter on 12th June are:-

1st Chris Mcallister with 24 points
2nd Tommy Graham with 18 points
3rd Marc Moss
3rd Wullie Riddicks Both joint 3rd with 16 points each

Well done to all the qualifiers and a big thankyou to all those who attended to make it a very good heat and alot of good fishing by all.

It s always good to see you Wullie,it was a good day and good company.Even despite the weather it was good to see plenty fish being caught, even though it was stocked a few days ago and meant no hot pegging and everyone had to fish and think.
sorry about the one you lost must have been the sun but you got through in the end.

best of luck to all in the final.

The numbers for the Bank competition this year are now above last years numbers ,showing that its a competition which is growing. With only 6 heats left to go.
