Default CEFF North West Lochstyle Qualifier @ Stocks 24th April

Top 3 Qualified automatically.

1st John Calvert - 12 Fish 23lb+
2nd Mike Laycock - 7 Fish 14lb+
3rd John Sykes - 7 Fish 14lb+
--------------------------------
4th Carl Nixon - 5 Fish 11lb+
5th Mike Frith - 5 Fish 9lb+

Was a hard day, bright sun and changing wind compard to the dry fly onslaught from practice!

Mike & myself have to wait to see if the numbers for the remaining qualifiers are lower than normal, and maybe, just maybe we may get to the National.

How many took part? Also anyone know how many will fish the final at Grafham, if its 120 odd like Rutland then more numbers would go through from each elim?

Would be interested where multiple entries came from, it was not voted in at last years CEFF AGM, is somebody trying to back door this? However, it would be a good idea.

From what I can see entries are hugely down on comps this year already - last year when we fished the Rutland Lexus heat there were 13 teams, this year apparently there were only 7.

Cost of fuel and living all round is biting I am afraid...............

.....and some really daft dates for the Lexus heats. People can't afford the holiday aswell as the expense.

Really? How can that be? How do they expect to get any entries or is it a closed shop to discourage competition?

Imagine having the Lexus Individual the date after the England Rivers final, not enough forward thinking!

Oh and it's on Chew, Who's straws the longest?
