Default Airflo 2010 Finals.

Hi all,

Just to say you should have all recieved your invitations to this years finals........... please do not panic when you read the date of return by. Final invitations will still be accepted before Friday 1st October. All that i would ask is that if you are not able to make the final/s please contact me as soon as possible so your place can be allocated to the waiting reserve/s.
Please bear in mind that i took on this event quite late and although some areas may not have been perfect the event it'self is in solid order and this years finals will be the best attended that i have ever been to.
The team side of things looks absolutely awsome !!!! and so does the individuals !................ well done right now to whoever picks up the honours.
Best of luck,

Fred.

As Fred is fishing both days I will be looking after the organisation for the weekend. See you all there.

Oh, and ensure all hooks are fully de-barbed, I will be setting the Controllers targets!!!!!!

Alan.

De-barbed. Are you sure?

Rule number 3 covers hooks.

Just don't turn up at the scales with a pike in the bass bag at Chew That probably wouldn't cut

I would'nt mind a pike on sat! as long as it's got a 3lb rainbow sticking out it's chops with my fly in it.

Cheers Craig

Yeah, and don't forget that drogues should not have added weights either..... just kidding.

Hopwever, please be aware that a number of the Airflo rules have been changed/tightened up this year.

Please remember it is only wellies or thigh waders! The top of the waders must be visible at all times (in and out of the water). No excuses if you only bring Chesties, you will get wet feet!

No floating flies on sinking lines. We will test by pulling the fly under the water and release it. If it comes to the surface its a floating fly! Boobies are banned, full stop.

Barbless/de-barbed hooks AT ALL TIMES ( if caught then everything caught up to the point of offence will be disqualified.

You can only carry 2 made up rods this year a third may be carried in its case.

All fish caught to be identified by the controller or the next angler if the controller is too far away. If not confirmed the fish will not be recorded.

Scoring is 1 point per fish and 1 point per session where a fish has been recorded.

If you have any queries PM me or ask here so we can clear up before the day. I would rather sort it here than on the Bank on the Sunday afternoon. Remember the last couple of finals have been decided by disqualified fish or rule disgressions.

However, we are looking towards a friendly relxed set of finals. Good luck to all.

Alan.
