Default Airflo Di5 Sweep - why is it rated so highly?

Just wondering why the Airflo Di5 Sweep is rated as the best Sinking Line to use.
Does the curve really make that much difference?
Why is it rated better than the Di5 Sixth Sense?
No one seems to mention using or buying the Sweep Di3 at all - why?
Your comments will be appreciated.

Years ago we used to complain bitterly that sinking fly lines sank with a 'belly' and in answer to our prayers along came the 'uniform sink' or 'density compensated' lines that mitigated against this undesirable trait.

Now we have lines marketed to 'convince' us that the 'curve' is in fact a good idea after all. No doubt the fly line 'Fashionista' can construct scenarios whereby there are circumstances wherein you're unlikely to catch fish unless you're using a 'sweep' line. From a personal perspective ... I ain't bothered.

I have kept the advert where Airflo berate all other line makers for this undesirable sweep trait,And promote their new density compensated wonder line.
(about 1980 I believe)

Don't think it is rated higher the the Di5, often suggested as a good choice for someone looking for a single sinking line rather than carrying a range. Probably a better allrounder in these circumstances than either the di3 or di5 as it covers a better range of depths each cast. I use all the Di sinkers including the sweeps, sometimes the normal ones work best, sometimes the sweep version. Nothing wrong with having a choice, apart harder to decide which one!
When the di6 and hiD were the main sinking lines, if we were going out on leven with sinkers, we would each use a different one, whichever was working best on the day was then used by both. Some days either line worked, other days one would outperform the other. When both then used the one that seemed to be best, the catch rate tended to even out.
