Default FLEXTEC IRISH TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS

The 2010 FLEXTEC IRISH TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS will take place on Saturday 14th August 2010 on Lough Lene, Westmeath.

This is a, now established, 4 man Team competition which is a fundraiser for the Irish Trout Fly Fishing Association (ITFFA).

This is the 3rd year of the championships and the reigning champions are Galway & Corrib Anglers.

This year we have had an extremley good responce as we have 31 Teams taking part, making it the largest team event ever to take place in Ireland.

There will be prizes for the top 8 teams, but most importantly the winning team will be crowded as "2010 Irish Team Champions"

Who is your money on.

Thank you to all who have supported the event.

I will post the results later in the month.

If it keeps growing the way it has Mike we might let you foreigners in the back door.

Seriously though at the minute its for ITFFA members (something to do with Insurance purposes). But i'll suggest letting teams in via !Invatation" for next year

Hi Greg, Hope all is well with you mate.

If you ever let "foreigners" into this comp let me know. I might just be able to muster a team from Bewl that might give you a run for your money on the fishing and the drinking stakes!

All the best,

Keith

No worries Keith

You boys would be more than welcome But is the "Big man" not barred from ireland after all his practical jokes

And by the way mate. Thats a brave statement challenging us Irish to a drinking contest it would only end it tears But id say you would enjoy the "scenery" in the Greville Arms in Mullingar, especially between 11pm and 2am It has to be seen to be believed
