What a bizarre statement!

It's not the season ticket holders who decide when these competitions are fished, its either the organiser or Anglian Water's decision.

People who buy season tickets look at the number of available days they think they will be able to fish in a season, look at the cost of a day ticket, factor in the benefit of being able to pop down for an hour or two in the evening if they live close to the water, and then decide whether a season ticket is going to be good value based on the answers to these questions.

I don't know who decided on the date (apart from the fact it wasn't 'The Season Ticket Holders'), but if it was Anglian Water I would imagine the prospect of the extra revenue generated from 2 weekend practice days would have been a factor. Certainly all of the boats were booked for both days. Fair play, they are a business after all.

Anyway who cares when it's fished? It's not a proper comp as you're allowed to anchor.

Now then, where's my tin hat?

Proper comp i don't think so,If the anglers were not allow to anchor then maybe then there might not have been so many fish killed like there was last Monday 700 odd.
