The boat league kicks off this coming Tuesday (11/4). Its a great excuse for a night out in the week.

Last year the first night was cancelled due to bad weather, the forecast does not look too promising for this year either.

Anyone from here going to come along?

If work allows i'll be heading over......i never know until the day though! Should be some fish caught, the place is fishing it's nutts off at the moment!

Can I fish the odd one?

In general I'm never home from work in time. But I know on the 25th I'm going to the Dentist so should be able to make that night.

You can fish as many or as few as you like, just turn up on the night.

Tuesday night boat league
20 Anglers turned up for the first match of this popular series recording 83 fish in less than three hours. Empingham’s Richard Cooper won the first match with 8 fish weighing 18lb 5oz. Mike Netherclift took second place with 8 fish for 15lb 10oz. Ian Lishman took third spot with 8 fish for 15lb 7oz. Richard and Ian tied for the best fish with each weighing in Rainbows for 3lb 3oz. The Tuesday evening boat league runs for 14 weeks (until mid August). To take part simply turn up at the lodge for around 5.15pm. Supper is also available at a reasonable additional cost.

Last night was a different story, most people found it difficult, Keith Jones won with 6 fish, Martha Thomson took 6th place with 2 fish, will post details when they are published on the AW website.
