If you're going to 'name and shame' what a heck of a way (and place) to do it.

Default Rules broken at Toft

I asked the same question in the "UK Stillwaters update" section. If the rules have been broken and I assume they must have been in light of Jasons comments, then I see no logical reason not to name the offender and the reason[s] as to why the decision was taken. It is hardly secret as the name was published in the original results. Surely, all those who fished the event would want to know the details?

Fae he already has been named in the first post of this thread. I was just asking why was he disqualified - if it can't be posted pm me I'm intrigued what happened thats all.

I'm not looking to "name and shame" as you put it, sorry for any confusion in my posts.

Named he was (which I though unusual), but like yourself I wonder why. What ever it was it had to be a major "No-No." For context, save for what I've read here, I don't know diddly about comp fishing.

But wasn't this the second time in just a few short weeks where the winner changed for violating Comp Rules? Or this just an expansion of the first (thread)?

Default I'm not in the business of naming & shaming ....

and that is not what I have set out to do. I quite simply feel that those that have fished by the rules and placed, be correctly recognised and paid out.

It is quite obvious that Chantrell was involved as well as 2 other parties and if those individuals wish to explain then that's up to them.

Basically the comp was fished to a six fish limit including catch & release on the way to the bag, when 6 were killed fishing then stops. On studying video from the day it was apparent that Chantrell had miscounted.

I would like to point out that all prize monies have been returned to me and will be correctly distributed.

There's been enough controversy around the whole winnerweb event and this for me pretty much puts the tin lid on it!

I run a good honest fishery at Toft and treat my customers with respect, is it too much to ask for them to return the same?

Perhaps charity matches are the way forward to raise money for those that need the cash so bad?

No worries mate I agree with what your saying.

Well done to the qualifiers of the match.

Very unfortunate for this to happen, but I wouldn't let the minority spoil it for the majority. Keep up the good work and well done on picking up on it. I think the video cameras are a great idea.
