Default Vision Pairs - Sunday 23rd May - Rutland Water

Vision Pairs Competition :- Sunday 23rd May 2010 Rutland Water

The Vision Pairs is being held on Rutland Water on Sunday 23rd May 2010; it will be fished to international rules with an 8 fish limit and 2 lb per hour time bonus.

Hopefully it will once again provide us all with some exceptional buzzer fishing at the top of the arms.

The prize structure will be the same as last years event and will be awarded from 1st – 10th place. (with an estimated prize fund of £3,000)

Please click on the following link News for full details of last years match.

Entry is £100 per pair and this includes all fishing; entry and boat fees – season ticket holders will get a refund on the day.

Well so far i'm told 20 pairs have booked in and paid up......which is actually pretty good.....

so that leaves 10 more places up for grabs.....before it's a full house !

With so many competitions struggling for entries we really should support the good ones or they too will go to the wall..

It's only 3 weeks away and with any luck it will be right in the prime buzzer fishing....

Oh i've tied plenty of buzzers Andy......it's just a pity i rarely use them

Well me and PP are signed up and will be there.

I'm not *****ing because I really enjoyed it last year, in spite of the dodgy boat partner, but a bit more real content in the "goody bag" would be appreciated - I mean, a Vision catalogue is nice, but not that nice

I will pass on your comments to his lordship Mr P....

I bet you'd have enjoyed it even more if you'd have landed that huge brown you hooked;at exactly the same time i hooked mine..... and as mine was 6lb 2......your was equal or bigger....

just a shame it fell off !

Don't remind me

Tell His Podginess that sinking fly lines, hats and other accessories are always appreciated

Seriously though, most "goody bags" really are pants, aren't they and this one was no exception ? I think JH made a good decision for this year's Lexus to have them optional.

See you then, if not before, and congratulations on both results at the weekend.

Charlie

The Vision comp last season was well organised and the fishing was exceptional, it was a breath of fresh air to see most competitiors fishing buzzers (even Rob!) and more than that, observing that all important 'boat' etiquette which always makes for a good competition. Me and Ian Colclough will be there again and look forward to this event becoming what will probably be one of the major events of the competition calendar. See you all there.

I started off on the pull though Al....for the first 4 then went on the nymphs !

Remember you can "take the boy out of the gutter; but not the gutter of of the boy"...and i don't think i'll ever give up pulling as my preference.

Anyway where have you been hiding Al....not seen you so far this season - hope your ok
