Default A regretful announcement regarding the Winnerweb competition from the MD Paul Abbott -

"To all competition entrants
Winnerweb Challenge Fly Fishing Competition 2010
It is with great regret that I have to inform you that because of the very
poor response to our competition we are cancelling all forthcoming heats.
We believe that the current economic circumstances have made it very
difficult for people to commit to discretionary expenditure when there are
many other demands on their income and the general uncertainly with regard
to issues overall such as employment.
We fully understand peoples reluctance to commit to such ventures.
We are very disappointed to have to take this action as we feel the 2009
competition was a great success and many people were looking forward to
taking part again this year.
Full refunds will be going out to all of those who did book for the heats.
We remain fully committed to our association and sponsorship with Trout
Fisherman and hopefully will be able to host the WW Challenge competition
again in 2011."

...BUT - at Toft I will carry on with my match on Saturday 24th April and now rather than it being a Winnerweb heat, it will be a one-off bank match and will follow the format of and replace my ordinary Spring bank match. Any entrants who have entered for the Winnerweb can either have their money refunded or take up their place in this match.

Obviously this match is open to all and places are available - we'll draw at 8.45am and fish from 9.30 until 4.30 - usual kill any 6 fish then stop ruling, heaviest bag wins and a guaranteed first prize of £300 with runner up prizes subject to entry levels - cost is £40, please come and have a go, it's a friendly day and every one has a chance.

Default Saturday 24th

Hi Jason;

Spring Match -Is it ok for a mate of mine to fish and pay on the day.....he's not a competition angler at all and just wants to come for a breakfast with us and a laugh or two...

Also what are the basic rules...(i know its catch and release up to a 6 fish limit with fishery rules flies etc...)

But is the reservoir split into sections again so you move every 90 mins or so......or is it just fish where you want and move when you want ?

Either way we're all looking forward to getting up there again...

cheers rob

Cheers mate.......i hoped it would be....it's the Fairest way.....everyone gets some good and bad pegs.

Hope it's still fishing as well as everyone say's......if so it'll be a cracking day.

I really am looking forward to a change of venue.....and a day out with my mates and a bit of banter..

Anyway Mick...one last important question......any idea where we can get a breakfast from that morning.....a traditional truck stop or greasy spoon would be ideal....(not really a little Chef man)...got to maintain this figure !
