Year one is always the hardest. I think by the second year a lot more anglers will be interested in taking part, after all, this will be a pretty prestegious event. A large part of the reason for a less than perfect turnout has to that nearly all the fisheries were closed for over 3 months this winter, so anglers weren't talking to each other about it the same. And it really should have had major media coverage, after all, this is the very first Bank fishing International. This will become a major event in our angling calander over the next few years & deserves recognition. It's all good
PR for fishing & the future of our pasttime and good
PR for our countrys!.. This should have happened years ago and there's been nothing since the Sunday Post folded.
Good luck to everyone for the priliminary heats and the tightest of lines for those who will win their place in Scotlands new national bank angling team!..
