A huge congrats to two of my fellow Pirates, Charlie Abrahams (charliea1234) and Bart Farmer, who qualified today for the final.

Bart was in 2nd place and Charlie had biggest fish.

Good stockie bashing lads, am well chuffed!

Congrats also to Lloyd Pallet who was 1st and Clive Morgan in 3rd.

Great Result Lads, looks like you will be able to practice with the rest of us Pirates on Rutland next week.

Hats off to Bart really - we were meant to practise together yesterday but I had to pull out and he gave me the areas and the method.

There were only four limits of which Bart was second. I had six fish, two of which would have won heaviest fish and ironically if I could have finished (I had a blank last two hours) I would have pushed Bart out on weight, so it worked out perfectly as it was.

Two Pirates at the final and it's only April 3rd !!!!!!!!!!

How much detail are you looking for - Bart landed on a shoal and had six really quickly, including handlining one of a double hookup.

I caught my biggest fish while casting (as usual)

No, I'd hung it for about 30 seconds and just started my next cast when I found it on the end about 10ft under the boat. At first I thought it was hooked in the back (another speciality) but my point fly was in its mouth and the line wrapped around it.
