We are fishing in the WIGFic Competition at Pitsford this year, which is scheduled for the second week of May.

Does anyone know of some good ,and cheap B & B accomodation close to Pitsford please?

What team are you fishing for? Have you fished this competition before??

your other option is the premier inn or travel lodge at kettering....if you book early you may get it cheap (they do deals for £19) at some sites..

then a few beers in kettering

I am fishing for Wessex, and have been lucky enough to fish the last three comps at Farmoor, Stocks and Swinsty/Fewston in Yorkshire.

I have a feeling that we have just booked somewhere (cheap) but I wil find out from our skipper, if not I will pass on the info given from you and Rob - thanks.

We fished Pitsford last September from the boats and it fished superbly, so lets hope for the same.

Nice to bump into somebody else who has the pleasure of this competition
I think this is my 6th outing in this competition - they get better each year!

After 6 competitions, you are a bit of a veteran!

The chances are that you get better year on year as well.

You are right, they are good, both for newcomers and experenced anglers alike. It also gives a taste of working with tactics within a team, which is is pretty new for me, but it no doubt helps our efficiency to catch fish.

And after practice, it is possible that we may have a few beers overnight to aid sleep....
