Default ulster qualifier for bank international

The date and venue are set for the ulster qualifier of the new bank international competition, Woodford fly fishery in county antrim is this year's chosen venue for the ulster qualifier. The competition will take place on Saturday 1st of may with all anglers welcome.,The top six anglers will form the ulster team in the all Ireland interprovincial bank championships later this year .The top bank anglers will then go on to represent Ireland in the first bank international at Ennis fishery in Cornwall.

If your not in a club affiliated to T.A.F.I you can either pm me or contact Darren at woodford, and we will let you know where your nearest club is,

well this looks like a movin in the right direction , happy days for all bank anglers. skinny

No surprises to hear this venue being announced.

Will be interesting to hear the results here and find out how many actually turn up to fish it, as its a brand new idea

Is wading allowed

Out of interest. Any idea where the other qualifiers in the other provinces will be Haven't seen anything on any website.

And where will the interprovincial final, to select the Irish team be held

All interesting stuff

BTW. With only a couple of TAFI clubs in Ulster and only one that I know of in Northern Ireland, how much will it be to join a club that is affiliated to TAFI and how much will it be to enter this competition ???

Not sure where a qualifier can be held in the west. Most lakes that I know of would not be great for bank angling and I cannot see many people rushing to enter apart from an odd person who might want to get an easy Irish cap.

Unfortunately we don't have the facilities that are available over the water, where bank angling is very popular but with quality fishing to match.

There is probably a puddle somewhere though, with a few fish in it.

Hope to hear soon, where the other provinces will be holding their qualifiers. Will be very interesting

So, what is the costs of entry to this Ulster Qualifier and what's the price to join the woodford club, so that one is eligible to fish.

I would imagine potential entrants would want to know before they enter. After all its only 6 weeks away.

And what are the rules of fishing this Ulster Bank International Qualifier.

Rotating pegs, Catch & Release, Total weight etc And is wading allowed
