Hi Craig,

I fished today and had a blank you can see my notes under Llandegfedd boobies thread!!!! On another note i have been let down after waiting for 14 mths on a welsh springer and notice you have an english springer. Do you take him on shoots at all any ideas of good breeders? How did you get on today. I saw my cousin Stewart putting some practice in for next week and they were slamming them all day....helps casting a di-7 40yds i guess lol

Your cousin Stewart whats his surname... I see you had a bad day at Llandeg how deep were you fishing with the Di-7, did you try the glues on midge-tip a few more trips and a bit more practice should do you.

So is Llandegfedd fishing hard? Some info on numbers who fished and number of fish would be greatly appreciated.

Shucks

Hi mate i tried the di-7 at all levels, however as i was on the engine i can't cast as far so when i did hit the bottom it wasn'y for long otherwise it would go undere the boat which is a no no. I tried int with glues one which stewart tied for me very heavy on the point with another glue 4ft apart but no joy. We didn't get to bill smiths till pm they were all catching on a drift behind the pole which is in the water then toward the next bay. There were 24 out rod average of 3, i think 5 people bagged up before 1 and we all struggled. But im still learning so if you can cast a good line you should do well. I know they had water from the river coming in?

My cousin is Stewart Watkins tightlines boy, he was pulling them out for fun....lol

Looking to fish Llan or Chew in April if any one fancies it.

Hello Craig

I did OK but was a bit slower of the mark than normal, so i had qualify with the best fish this year it was certainly not an easy day by any means and it would have been just as easy for anybody to come in blank.

I dont spend as much time working the dog as i'd like to these days and i know how difficult it is to get hold of a Welsh as i tried a couple of years back without success.

As far as breeders Housty Kennels in Felindre produces first class dogs have a look at the website Welcome To Housty Kennels | Boarding Kennels Obedience Training

But i'd also ask Stewart first if Wayne or any of the lads up there have got any pups available from good working parents as it'll be a lot cheaper.

Hope this helps

Craig
