Sanacc & sana
I read the paperwork last week which SANACC sent out and in particular, all the background info for their agm this Sunday much of which, wouldn't be worth having in the bog! Such a load of tosh. Seen the SANA report as well which prompted me to do some quiet digging into the reality of the situation.
After speaking to a few folk it might be worth some others asking SANACC just what it is they're actually doing for the ordinary punter apart from what appears to be a veiled, very narrow and undervalued (discriminative?) view of the wider angling community. The truth is actually being manipulated in such a way to make folk think SANA is to blame for all this, I really don't think so.
A number of questions do need answers though.
Does SANACC operate any kind of restricted access to its competitions and if so, why?
Why has SANACC said "club membership of SANA is being rated as inferior" (not something I personally would have put into print for possible legal reasons!) but from what I hear, this is simply not true, goodness knows why they've said that or why they seem to want to discredit SANA, it's all a bit political where the various political parties try and outdo each other, with 'it's ma ba an' yer no playin' attitude. What are they scared of?
I don't think it's true either that SANA just came along on a whim to take away the managerment of 2 competitions. Meetings were held before from what I hear and explained what was required but it was SANACC who decided in some proposal not to be part of it. Their decision! Their bed, lie on it! Anybody can see from SANAs website and the annual report what happened.
If I wanted to fish for Scotland, I want to do it because I'm good enough and on merit, not for the way I roll up my trouser leg.
Yes, reading the 'Background Information' really shows the thinking in all its glory, pity when brains were handed out ........etc...........and 'throwing one's toys out of the pram' springs to mind!
