Hi All,

Congratulations to David Mateer who today won the Achagour Winter League for 2010. The fishery did not disappoint in spite of the aweful weather so the fishing in three weeks time should be excellent!!

30 anglers turned out today to support this fundraiser which was fished to a three fish limit. The weather was better than forecast for the majority of the day with a couple of light snow showers only coming along in the afternoon.

The 30 anglers weighed in a total of 56 fish for a combined weight of 119lbs 11ozs with many more returned. Results were:-

1st place - David McGregor with 3 fish for 10lbs 8ozs and the heaviest fish of 5lbs 1oz.
2nd place - Ron Maslin with 3 fish for 7lns 14 ozs.
3rd place - Kevin Moss (Morayflyfisher) with 3 fish for 6lbs.

Stuart Fraser of the disabled team also won a bottle of malt whisky for guessing the weight of the heaviest fish caught today.

A total of £550 was raised for the two teams.

A big thank you to all who came along, contributed raffle prizes and to the day overall.

Very enjoyable day Abi,congratulations to Stuart,David and yourself for the hard work put in.
Good to see a good sum raised for the teams.
Enjoyed the banter and everyone had a good laugh and that made the day.

Hope you bathed that dog of yours lol.

Terry is now 1 stone heavier from the food.
