Is anyone fishing this from the forums?

New fishery just openend last year in the Midlands have a look at the "new Midlands fishery Thread" in Stillwaters for more info on the fishery.

There is a planned bank Open comp at Barton Marina Fishery (Nr burton on Trent) on 7th March. PM me for the contact details for the organiser.

Loosely the poster for it says

Sunday 7th March fishing 10AM to 3PM
Fishery Rules (but the organizer can advize further)
Limited to a maximum of 35 anglers
Cost £35 per angler - (goody bag included)

Prizes 1st £100, 2nd £60, 3rd £40 and a big fish prize

All being well, I should be there Jloc - It'll be a nice comp to start the season off with, as the place has a large head of fish...

This place is so easy fishing......
Anyone going put a slow glass on with a sunburst blob on the point,orange blob on the top and a cruncher in the middle,
Chuck it out as far as you can and figure of 8 it back "it normally comes back with a fish" but don't forget the hang so many follow it to the end.
Failing this cast toward the bridge with 2 white blobs and just hang on "they do love their bread them trout.

Hey Taff I suppose you've been honing you bread fishing skills on the Wye at Bakewell mate!
