Yes unfortunitly I'm going to have to re- reschedule Allandale Tarn's 'A Guid New Year' competition that we hoped would finally welcome in the new season this Saturday!
Despite ice breaking everyday this week and running the aereator to try & help clear the ice, we are perpetually re freezing every night this week again & the cold weather seems like it's staying with us for now!..
So, I've set the date for Saturday March 6th, which by then we will surely be defrosted!... As before, anyone who had their name down originally will be given priority to put their name down for the new date! Please call & let us know if you still want to fish it or even if you can't make it, it would be great & helpful if you can let us know either way! Yes I'm afraid that The Tarn New year comp is postponed yet again as we still seem to be in the dead of winter!.. It was re- re schedualed for tomorrow, Saturday March 6th, but will have to be postponed until further notice at this stage, sorry!
As before, when it looks like we are going to be thawed out for fishing, I'll post the new date up on here and the Tarns own web site at Allandale Tarn Fishery - Quality all year round fly and bait fishing in West Lothian !

Hi all!..
As it's looking like we're going to remain ice free, I've finally set a new date for the ' A Guid New Year' comp. It is going to be held on Saturday, May15th. Yes I know,it's somewhat later into the season than we'd hoped, but needless to say, it's been a very long winter and this is the first Saturday in the diary we had free!..
As before, if you had your name down originally for the comp, (January 3rd, Ha, ha!) then you will get priority to re enter for the new date. Please call us ASAP, on 01506873073 or email catrionaallan@googlemail.com to let us know if you still want to fish it!...

Yes it's been re re scheduled for May 15th. Sorry I had problems with our competitions page on the Allandale web site so couldn't up load any new information, but that has now been fixed!...
