Default Calling all Ambulance Staff

I've been invited by the organiser of the Inter Services match to attempt to raise an Ambulance Service team for next years event. The event has been running for a few years now and includes teams from the Police, Fire service, Civil servants, prison service, military etc.

The event will take place at Grafham Water on Tuesday 1st June 2010. It's fished to international rules with an 8 fish limit + time Bonus.

The only stipulation is that you have some connection to an Ambulance Service - employed or retired. That could be as Paramedic, EMT, Patient Transport, Control room, Volunteer car drivers, community first responder etc, etc. We might even allow Officers if we're desperate!!

I'm hoping we can get 8 people together to enter. I already have 3 people on my list, including myself , but if the list manages to grows to more than 8 people we will have to cross that bridge when we get there - maybe a fish off - I would suggest maybe Monday 31st May at Grafham (the day before the event). The event never use all the boats availabe so those who did not "qualify" for the team could still pleasure fish on match day. What do you think?

Anyway, I'd be interested to hear from anyone who might be interested in this match as I think it's a crime that the Ambulance Service is not represented.

Match day fishing fees will be approx £50 per person.

Cheers

FJ

Mate Ive been treated in casualty in Belfast, loads of times, after nights on the drink. They used to treat me like one of their own, does that count.

Only joking mate. Good to see you organising something like this. These people do a great job and sometimes dont get the credit they are due.

It might have to come down to that mate - a bit like the Irish footie team where you qualified because your great granny went on a day trip to Dublin!!

it's stated quite clearly in the rules that you have to be employed/retired by the service you are representing otherwise I'd have no problem raising a team.

Speak soon

FJ.

There's a good few active troutfishers in the Scottish Ambulance service,I'm sure you'll get some feedback.
