Was there yesterday, What a day!
God luck to all, especially those that don't get drawn on the dam!!!
Never touched it yesterday, tell a lie had a few casts, fish soup down there.

Get in there first, you'll be in the money!

That was what I found last year, but still the best anglers will shine.

There's nothing worse Charlie than you telling someone all the info. Only for them to turn up, use totally different tactics and win!

Glad you're through me old cheese, when you home , you home just now?

Best of luck to the SP team and Graham Lumsden in the individual final. I hope all the competitors enjoy the event.

Hey folks, Ed just emailed me as he cannot post right now and asked me to copy this into the thread :

I would like to make it clear about the stocking of Elinor prior to the Airflo finals.
Normally I stock twice a week, usually Monday and Friday. This week there has been three stockings, Monday, Thursday, Friday.
Over the last month Elinor has been especially busy. Weekly stocking numbers have been, 745, 626, 850 last week and 948 this week. Hardly a massive influx of extra fish before the match!
The match is pegged as fairly as possible. All anglers will get only one peg on the dam and only one peg on the coarse bank (between pylons).
If anyone would like to take a look at the names engraved on the trophy they will see that only the very top anglers win this event.
Obviously you have to make the most of your good pegs ( 5 fish maximum score ) and sneak out the odd fish off the less productive pegs instead of moaning that there are no fish in front of you.
I've done my best to ensure a good match on both days.
Stocking is done to look after my regular customers and I would hardly call an extra couple of hundred fish excessive.
Cheers
Ed

Never mind the stocking Ed,it was a great 2 days and myself and my son enjoyed both days and thank you for it,even though I BLANKed on day 1,but so what it happens but pulled the stops out for day 2 and di better.A learner year and hope to do better next year all being well.
Conditions were tough and credit to all anglers who fished it,just how it should be good hard thinking angling and not easy.
