Default Loch Style Internationals 2011

Have heard one of them may be held on either Orkney, Shetland or Islay?... any light on this?

It's true it will be Orkney. But I'm sure it will be the home international.

Yeah its Orkney from what I've heard. They have changed Scotland from Autumn to Spring for 2011 to suit.

Deffo true. I attended the International AGM recently. By all accounts Orkney is the venue for the 2011 Spring Home International, and as The Dibbler says, England kindly agreed to host the 2011 Autumn International.

Would love to qualify to fish it. A lot of travel involved, even for the scottish Team, but well woth it im sure.

How far ahead do they plan the Home Internationals, or is it a annual decision?

Orkney would be fabulous. Everyone will be fishing their butt off to try to make the teams. I heard great reports from anglers who fished the last International up there.

Are you coming over to Conn next year Graham??? Myself or Patrick will look after you if you are. Patrick still reckons in his dreams that he nearly got the better of you the last time he fished with you in an International, but he is a dreamer.......

The Lodge Bar in Cloghans has a very nice pint indeed too

I don't know yet Seamus (I'm assuming you're Jungle Bunny).

I retired as Manager after Trawsfynydd last year, but have qualified for the National this year so will just have to see how it goes.

I remember fishing with Patrick at Grafham in 2005 very well. Particularly when in the morning we were fishing along the Nature Reserve Buoys in a big blow (that's a corduroy ripple to you guys) when the Lodge Boat came alongside carrying a bloke with a big TV camera.

"Hey Patrick, make sure you're looking good as we could be on TV here" I said. Seconds later...

whack.. whack.. whack.. whack..

All 4 of my flies had embedded themselves into the back of my coat and I spent all of the time the camera was there trying to get them out again!

Yeah, I can imagine. I expect that by now it's all about how he narrowly missed out on the Brown Bowl.

Cheers!

Graham

Seamus it is Graham. Best of luck in your Nationals, in 3rd reserve place at the moment myself and the chances of qualifying are disappearing rapidly

Patrick is in our final qualifiers so I will have to listen to a lot of Bulls**t all winter if he makes the team.
